So, I was updating my curve to the newest OS today and right in the middle of install my phone shut off and the red light started blinking over and over and I couldnt reboot.

After reading many posts about how to fix dead blackberrys, I've found that most state that I have to loader apploader but I keep getting the image below instead of showing a list of my apps and updating my phone.

I've tried wiping my phone with JL_Cmder and, even after about 20 tries, it will not connect and wipe the phone. I've also tried taking out the battery and sim, leaving the battery in, booting without the sim and/ battery to no avail.

My computer finds and installs the USB drivers ok when I plugged the phone into my laptop, still nothing. Ive tried going back to an older OS but it wont connect for me to do so.

Download BlackBerrySwissArmyKnife (bbsak). It will connect to your BB even if nothing else will. You can use that to wipe your OS and load a new OS. Are you tring to install your carrier's OS or another carrier's OS?

Thanks for the info, Ill try that app. I tried installing the newest update for the BB OS from the blackberry site. And yes, I was trying to install my carriers OS.

Ive just tried the app you suggested and that wont even connect to my curve...any ideas?
