I think this will be my next device, unless I hear Vzw will get the Torch. I'm afraid I will really miss the trusty qwerty keyboard.

i saw that, but the trackpad at the bottom doesn't seem necessary on a pure touchscreen. Maybe RIM has something up its sleeve - or it is a fake.

Oh well, that's why it's in the rumors section! At least someone is talking about it. Maybe that's a good sign. I previously heard q4 this year and we are close to that.

BGR (and everyone else for that matter) is beating up RIM for not making an iPhone or a Droid. Give me a break!

I heard the same thing, that it was going to be basically the same device. If that's true, it's not even worth the time.

Maybe I will have to wait for the Storm4 that is reportedly going to be on vzw's new LTE network.

I am actually excited about the LTE more than anything else.

Yeah, I am really weary of reading all that crap. If someone wants a Droid or iPhone, they should just get one. I am glad the BB is not like an iPhone or like a Droid. BB is more secure than either one and fits my needs just fine.

A trackpad is actually nice on a trouchscreen. It allows you to hit "Enter" without hitting the wrong spot.

Yeah, sounds like its the Storm 2 with a *slight* update to handle OS 6. But nothing new or noteworthy (besides OS 6, that is).

Sounds like the Storm 3, 2.5 or whatever isn't coming to Verizon. Guess they realized it was a waste and passed on it.

Yes, I read that too. So what is the next high end BlackBerry for vzw? The 9330 doesn't do it for me.

From what I've heard RIM is no longer interested in calling their devices Storm because the first two touch phones were a disaster.
I'm not too sure how accurate that is [Though it is from friends working there 'in the know'] but if RIM is prepping another Storm-like device the name might be changed.

I'd hardly call the Storm2 a disaster. I still love mine. They didn't have problems like the first Storm and continue to be a good seller.

I'd agree that the second one was a major improvement. This is just the little bits I get from RIM employees I meet so I'm in no way stating it as absolute fact.
I actually always wanted a Storm2 but work wouldn't get any so I'm waiting on a Torch now.
