I've had a Curve 8900 for 18 months, and it's a great phone, but I'm hoping that T-Mobile will get the "refreshed" Bold 9780 sometime soon. There are rumors, at least, that this will happen.

If and when it does happen, should I expect my current apps to work on it (using the Switch Devices wizard), or should I expect to have to re-download new versions of them that will work under OS 6?

Most likely you will have to find the OS6 versions.

Usually a company will give you a new activation code if needed when you change BlackBerrys. This is especially important when app activation codes are based on the device pin.
