Default BESX not working with Torch??

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone had problems with the new Torch and their BES 4.1.3.18?

I have a client who is using Rogers and is able to get activated on the server but no new emails are being downloaded to his device. I wonder if there is a issue with BES 4.1.3.18?

Thanks
Andrew

Has your client updated the device.xml and vendor.xml on the BES as per RIM documentation?

If the user can get activated, that seems like it is a compatible device. I would check the folder redirection and make sure Mailbox is checked.

Also, make sure Enterprise Email isn't being blocked by the firewall on the device.

The issue now is the address book gets to 97% and fails.

The users also wants to see all their email and calendar info before September, is this possible?

Thanks

So, the device never completely activates then?

Did you follow the steps that Penguin outlined above?

They can only pre-populate 14 days or I believe 700 message (whichever comes first) depending on how your BES is setup. So, no it is not possible.

I copied the two files into the location, I am about to call the client back to have them to another wipe and sync to see if that fixes the sync problem.

Thanks

Also he needs to see his emails in his sub folders..
And his blackberry still says sync error with this address book.

Please advise!
