Hello everyone !!

I've a little, but little little problem :

I've bought 2 BB Curve 8520 during this last weeks, the both have the same problem : LCD crash.

I've dissassembly its to get out the poor LCD and i looking for 2 others ones. BUT : the both LCD haven't ref. at back, the both 8520 already had a problem of LCD and i think that the old LCD are compatibles ones from HonkHong, so, how can i do to buy the right LCD (004/005 or 007/111, ...) ?

There's a way to be sure to buy the right LCD just with the informations on the phone and not on the old LCD ?

No, i haven't found anything about... Maybe because i'm looking for in french language.
Could you just tell me what words i have to enter in the gogole ?

For the first, the price is very incredible but i not sure that its will be compatible (no ref. is tell on the advice).
For the second, it's 007/111, but if mines are on 004/005, i lose !
So, maybe i'll buy the 2 most see ref. (004/005 and 007/111) and i will try, but in this case i certainly will lose 1 LCD !!!
Ok, i'll looking on the baybay (i've 2 LCD for Bold 9000 to buy so i'll negociate a good price!!!).

The only other way (i believe) you may be able to tell, is to google for the seperate numbers, in google images.
The tag that attaches to the motherboard have different lines on them, so say one will show the gold lines in a square pattern, the others in a diamond one for example.
Then you can look at the ones you have, and work out the model number from there.

But this only a vague recollection of a post here.

I've already try to do the correspondance between mother board and LCD, but i don't have found the informations.
So, i'll try with 2 ref. LCD : 004/005 (less expensive) and 007/111 (i've read that the last one is on around 95% of the Curve 8520).

Let's try and loose my big money !!!

The Version Number might can be found On the back of the LCD. U can have a try.
