Default SD Card encryption issue in 6.0.0.246?

Please Login to Remove!

Upgraded the Torch to .246 this morning - the official ATT version. After the upgrade, I tried to use the Files app to send a photo that's encrypted on the SD card (filename.jpg.rem) to someone. The 'send...' option is no longer on the menu! The option is there for un-encrypted files, but not for encrypted files. Same basic issue if I try to attach a file to an outgoing email - the 'select' option is gone for encrypted files.

As near as I can tell, there is no way to transfer encrypted files off of the Torch with .246, which seems pretty dangerous. I rolled back to .141 and all works as it's supposed to.

So is this a (fairly serious) bug, or am I missing something?

Thx!

I noticed this problem too, both with the official firmware that my Torch rolled with 12/23, as well as the latest leak it's running (.337). I think I'll unencrypt the internal storage, and then store pictures to it. It's at least somewhat physically protected as it's soldered to the device and can't just be removed and mounted in a card reader like the SD card.

I don't know anything about OS 6, but I'm curious. Did you guys just try sending the picture by first composing the meaage and then trying to attach the image, or did you also try navigating to the picture, selecting it, and then trying to select send from the menu? And did you try sending with other type of messages (PIN and/or BBM)?

As I say, just curious.
