Default BES Express 5.0.2 not starting :(

Please Login to Remove!

I am using SBS 2008 server; I followed this how-to install document to install it on my box:

How to install BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express on a SBS 2008

After it starts the services I can get to the console web pages using the links but it either doesn't accept the BESAdmin AD log in or it hangs up on the Admin Console when I use the admin log in and password.

In my event viewer I get this message:

The description for Event ID 4 from source BAS-AS cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

BAS-AS

Looking for away to get this running, thanks!
Andrew

is the bas-as server service. and the bas-ncc running, ?
maybe restart the server, then try again after a short time ?

google found this:

does not fit perfect for your situation, but worth reading.

There are a couple of issues with the "how-to"

Adding ADPermissions, I found that using the command that is used in the Exchange 2010 setup on this site works better than the Exchange 2007 command also found on this site.

Second, under SBS the IE ESC (security) must be disabled, there is no mention of in any of the tutorials.

That should not be neccessary, only if you plan to use the console on the server. I think RIM assumes, you will run the console from a workstation (Even Apples Safari/WebKit is now supported).
