Otter Box Defender - screen protector issue

So, I missed the "regular" keyboard enough with my Torch that I traded it for a 9780. I also got an Otter Box Defender case for it.
The case fit is fantastic.... With one issue. The screen protector portion of the top part of the case has "mated" with about a 1"x0.5" section of the middle of the screen. I cleaned it with alcohol and tried again, but it does the same thing.
Sort of annoying as the spot where the protector is contacting the screen is brighter than the rest where the two surfaces are not mating correctly.
Anybody else experience this issue? How was it resolved?
