Default need help finding cheap contract for a bb

i live in canada by vancouver and i am looking for a cheap bb plan but i cant find any. they all are $40 and up.
is that the cheapest you can get them?
i would need a minimal # of minutes and preferably unlimited texts but i would like to no what the cheapest plan in canada is for a blackberry..
(i am a student if that helps)

Not sure if you will find much better. Virgin has a pretty good 40 dollar plan, not many call minutes but it looks like your bbm is good to go and you can pick unlimited sms as well as evening start at 6pm.
There service is the same as bell or telus, basically all use the same towers.

i dont know very much about blackberrys but i found a plan from rogers wireless that has social networking and browsing but it doesnt say its for a blackberry im wondering if it will work for one? and if i can would i still be able to bbm?

BlackBerrys are different.

You need a BlackBerry data plan to use BlackBerry data services. If the plan is not identified as a BlackBerry plan, then it almost certainly is not.
