Thanks for the Advice stonent, but I have checked all settings and they are OK. I’ve also uninstall and reinstalled ZAccess Manager and still no luck,
Considering downgrading however still not sure

All -
VZ 7250 customer upgraded from 4.02 to 4.1 - so far:
1. Only bluetooth profile available - audio (no PIM or Dial Up Networking)
2. Trying to activate DUN (##Dialup) gets me a "invalid password" message on the phone.
3. Compose software sends me to SMS - not to mail.
4. Themes load to device - when I go to activate one (options > themes) I see them but the only option is "close" - can not select a different theme.
5. Tethering through vz access works through USB - not bluetooth - see 1.
It is not out of line to think that I could have screwed something up here - insights would be appreciated - otherwise must revert back to 4.02.
Thanks

Well you should consider yourself lucky that you can tether at all the rest of us cant so far it looks like. I am not sure it is suppossed to tether via bluetooth to begin with, though you ought to be able to synch. Those are the only issues I am seeing. As far as the themes did you remember to load the plazmic reader?

I havent had any problems tethering or loading themes. My biggest complaint is the fact that suddenly I am unable to invite attendees to my calendar appts. When i first loaded 4.1, i had the option to do invitations, but they were returned as unsent emails. now the option is gone altogether. any input?

I did load the plazmic reader - it shows up under options > advanced options > applications > Plazmic reader - version 1.1.0.1.4.

I don't think there's such as thing as ##Dialup. The ## is the prefix you put before the MSL code to access phone programming. If you have a verizon phone, it's ##000000. If you put any other numbers after the ##, it's not the right MSL Code, hence the "Invalid Password!" message.

<bundle id="System" version="4.1.0.194">
<devicehwid>0x04000904</devicehwid>

<bundle id="System" version="4.1.0.229">

Save the file, load up Desktop Manager. The system will recognize the 4.1 OS when you go to upgrade.

I noticed that my BES did not display the upgraded OS version without the vendor.xml file. I downgraded, swapped the file, and re-upgraded. BES now shows the correct OS

Anyone else start having problems with the Verizon 4.1 7250 today? Around 4pm EST, I started getting Data Connection Refused errors. My co-workers (who haven't upgraded their Blackberries) are not having this problem, so it's not a network issue.
Maybe they did something to block upgraded Blackberries? I don't have EVDO on my account, that may have something to do with it, going to attempt to get Verizon to add it, but not expecting much success.

Got my Blackberry working again (got a good data tech on the phone, he added it with no problem) under EVDO. I should've called them earlier I wasn't sure if I could call myself since we have a corporate account.

Ended up getting the DCR again, but I have a fix now. Verizon Data support (after escalation) gave me the fix to resolve the problem, which I later found on here through searching (wasn't listed under 7250 so I didn't find it in my earlier searches). If you keep getting DCR, try this fix:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=21826
Bonus points to Verizon for helping me with this on a Saturday morning.
They probably could have just said that 4.1 wasn't supported (although I think they may just have not remembered that there isn't a "real" 4.1 for the 7250 yet). If the tech that helped me reads this forum, thanks for all of the help.

Battery life
Found something else for the VZW clients out there to try:
It appears that upgrading to the unofficial 4.1 from VZW 4.0.0 (NOT 4.0.2) maintains the fast battery charge. I downgraded from 4.0.2 and then upgraded to 4.1. My 7250 was dead this morning and an hour later it is almost fully charged!

Completed my upgrade, 7520 Nextel, all went well. My Bluetooth sync was a pain because my bluetooth dongle was a widcomm. I went to Wal-Mart bought a cheapo one that uses the Microsoft stack and it works well.

This thread is about the 7250, not the 7520. You are looking for this thread:

Smooth install here -- Only issue I can't resolve is when I do an email or reply, the scree shows an extra To: and CC: line. Is there a default I can change?
