Yah I was looking for the chirp sound like all my other Nextel phones had.

I just use the cricket sound and repeat it three times on loud. It sounds distinctive enough.

I posted a link tonight in the ringtone section. I too was lost without my dc alert tone. It is close and certainly better than anything on the phone.

I contacted Nextel and they thought there was ssomething wrong with my phone. Once I told them no he said just do a search on google. I have been able to find the tone in a sprint site however there is no way to get it into the 7100i

You would think that since Nextel's chirp is so well know it would have been a requirement when they created the new phones. I have yours installed. Its bette then nothing. Thanks
