Default virus from site?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello. I had BB forums as my home page on my work laptop. The other night I was working from home and clicked to open IE. Right as the BB forums page was opening, I got some pop up for a file from MS. I closed it and Trend office scan started listing files it was deleting. I shut down and my IT guy took my laptop minutes after I started up at the office. Said I had a virus and it came from the BB forums website. Any ideas what happened?

It didn't come from us. There was a malware threat and we somehow got associated as someone posted a proxy.

All security issues have been fixed and we have been certified by Google and AVS as clean.

I apologize for any inconvenience, but the source of the malware is not BlackBerryForums, and if your IT guy looks, he will see it. This is not a virus either.

It just did it again! I did a google search and opened that link at the top. Same thing happened. Said MS needs to install some exe and then Trend takes off. What is the deal?

Hmm, both a Google Labs and McAffee certified BBC clean. If you opened a link from google, I am wondering if it was cached, or your browser is previously infected. Can you provide me with the link?

Norton shows we are clean:
Norton Safe Web, from Symantec - report for blackberryforums.com

UnMask Parasites shows us clean:
Web page security report

NoVirusThanks shows us as clean:
Multi-Engine Antivirus Scanner - Services - NoVirusThanks.org

URLVoid shows it as clean:
blackberryforums.com blackberryforums | URLVoid.com

If you are using Avast, we have submitted a ticket for them to remove this. They seem slow to update their databases in comparison.

Sorry but they have blocked your site at work. They said it was probably from one of the ads? Not really sure but I'm not going to open it on my home PC and work will ring my neck if I do it a 3rd time. I'll just use the mobile version. We were usinf trend office scan.
