Default BB Maps App Help

Please Login to Remove!

I accidentally deleted the BB Maps Application on my new Bold 9780 OS 6.0

I downloaded it again from the BB site it says it was installed. However, even after I reboot I can't find the icon to launch the app or find it in the application list.

I have unhidden all the icons and set the permissions to "allow" for everything before I downloaded.

Anyone know what else I can do?

Thanks

I have the same issue. I had it, then tried out the leaked os .448 from .285 and believe it was still there. then went to .359 and noticed it was not there. I went back to .448 and still not there. The app is installed on my phone as I can choose it when using point, but cannot access it for use by itself. I too have tried to reinstall it but it will not put an icon for me to use.

Some carriers will block BB Maps. Have you looked int he Downloads folder and the Applications folder? could it be hidden.

All else fails, give Google Maps a try. I think it is better.

for me it is not hidden and not in downloads. I do use google but it is not as up to date on streets. BBmaps has my street on it and google puts a dot in space for my location. Just a mystery I would like to solve because I know it is on the phone

BBMaps has been included in the device software installers for a while now. Don't know about OS 6, but also don't know any reason why it would be different.

If BBMaps shows as installed on the applications screen in options, I would delete it. I would then try re-installing it using the add/remove applications function in Desktop Manager.
