Kindly Let me know if you have a solutions for the below Problems

1. How do you update a contact, If suppose you have a contact already saved in Blackberry and you get a phone no. or a mobile no. how do you update the blackberry contact
2. Once you receive an email, and you want to reply back to the person editing or copying some of the original message. How can you do so.
3. While downloading or installation of 3rd Party application, I want to use memory card rather internal memory, how can you do so.
4. How can you use the LED Flashlight as a torch
5. Is there a GPS navigation application along with the Mobile Software

1. You open the contact, click menu - edit.
2. You can't natively, you need a 3rd party app.
3. You can't do this at all.
4. Believe there's a 3rd party for that.
5. There are map applications, no free "sat nav" software i.e. voice direction. Only paid ones.

4. Also, you can assign the shortcut key to "Video Camera" and press spacebar to toggle LED light on and off.
5. You actually can use the BB Maps app for GPS Navigation. It works in top map view mode only, but it will track as you drive.

Its just a real pain to get it to work.

I click menu, when the cursor is highlighting an address in the addr book. Then "show on map". Menu, "Get Directions". Menu, "show on map". Menu, "Navigate to here". Menu, "track up". Menu, "My Location". Phew, what a joke.... But it will work.

After all that, if the tracking arrow is not staying in the center of the screen, press menu, my location. It should recenter and then the map flows around you as you drive.

On #2, on replies, you can manually copy from the original which is below in the reply, and paste into the reply, then delete the original email (menu > delete original text).

What is the fun to use a blackberry, if some basic things don't work on blackberry.
I am a first time user of blackberry, & i am really disappointed.
For every small things u cant buy a third party solution.
I pay Extra for Blackberry services (For Mail and Instant Messaging i have to pay INR299pm or approx $6.5pm and to browse the internet i need to pay INR599 or $13) and still not able to use the full functionality.
My dad uses I phone and he just pays INR199/ $4.4 and he is able to download mails, browse the internet do instant chat and also edit mail and do all the stuff that my blackberry can't do.

Sometimes you get mails which need to use the internet to show the pic as they are not send along with the mails to make the mail lite. Even blackberry does not open that if you are just the the mail plan.

Please post your experience on this

BlackBerry is different. It has it's benefits, but if it isn't what you need, then use what fits your needs.
