I have a blackberry 8350i. Its a work phone. I use the Direct Connect all day. If someone DC's me. by the time I take it off my belt, the screen goes away, and i have to search through recent calls and call them back. Is there any way to extend the time the display is up? I have been searching and cant find anything. seems like there should be a setting. I even posted at howardforums with no replies. It seems simple, but its driving me nutz

"you cannot change the time the dc connection remains open. It will remain open for six seconds. I do agree however handheld os should have been designed with this in mind. It would seem to me a simple lengthening of the delay before the screen change could be easily rolled into a handheld os update."

Nope. Direct Connect has remained static for a number of years. It's about to die with Nextel.
