Default Media or Device storage?

Please Login to Remove!

On my old Curve it was easy to connect the phone via usb and using explorer view both the device storage and the sdcard storage and see what files, folders, etc were on which.

How do you do that with the torch? I want to be able to cut and paste files to the sd card on the torch using explorer.

No need to bump, you waited less than 24 hours :P

I've found it easy.

Plug in your phone to a computer, and allow it to be used as a USB drive, then two separate drives will show up. One is the device memory, the other is the SD card memory.

you'll have to open seperate windows to see each 'drive' cut and paste between them.

:D

Uh oh, have I just dated myself?

So in response to the actual question, when you connect via USB, what do you do if it only shows you the USB card and not the device memory?

To answer the other poster, the BB file manager doesn't let you move files, you would have to do it via USB connection.

Seems I answered my own question... IE crashes when I try to edit, so I'll just post the new answer here.

The issue, it seems is that some BB devices, like my Bold, have a very limited amount of internal memory. Thus RIM does not want you putting stuff in there. Having said that, I went to App World and got File Scout. The program has lots of great reviews, and will let you run it in "lite" mode, which amongst other things, lets you move files from the SD card to system memory.
