Default E-mailing a picture

Please Login to Remove!

For some reason my 9700 will not send a picture if I send it as e-mail. If I choose to send it as a MMS it sends; if I try to send it as an e-mail I see the icon that it is sending but after a few minutes I get a red x. I tried all sizes of picture...I don't remember this being an issue before. I do receive pictures as attachments. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong?

On the email that errored, open it and scroll all the way to the top. What do you read for message status? That may give some clue to the answer.

The idea I had before I read you post completely was that the files are encrypted. Some people have to disable encryption to send files. But you are able to send via MMS so believe that theory is shot down in your case.

Have you tried a battery pull and do you have the blackberry and 3g icons near your signal indicator?

That's a new one on me. I searched on that message status and found an number of questions about it but no answers.

If it were me, I would first resend service books. If that didn't fix it, I would contact carrier and ask if they know about any network problems.

See what others say. Wish I could offer better ideas.

You can send from the internet email setup app. Open the app and then select from menu.

I remembered how to resend the service books. When I logged in I saw a red circle with a slash through it (universal "no"). I verified my email account and all is well. Thanks for the help....always good to learn something new!

Ahhhh, so the problem was the email setup in BIS?

I was wondering about the Send using: Unknown. I guess that was the reason.

I'm also wondering why you didn't get an email alert from BIS that the email needed to be verified. You usually do, I thought.
