Default Wiped 9530 Bricked?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Storm 9530 that I wiped, but now the loader.exe tells me that I do not have a valid OS to put back onto the unlocked phone. I removed vendor.xls, and even tried BBSack, but it didnt help. The phone just has the Error 507 displayed. The loader sees the phone fine, but refuses to use any OS I have come across, and tried to reload.

Any random ideas? I've been at this for hours now.

Are you loading a 9530 OS? Are you installing on the PC first? Maybe try a different PC?

507 means there is no OS on the phone.

I used the 9530 from Bell that is at the top of this forum. I have also tried others, v4.7 and v5.x. They were installed on a PC. I can see the OS inside the c:\program files\common files\research in motion\... folder. I have tried one OS at a time, so i do not have 5 sitting in there.

I will try a different PC, might as well. And yes, the phone has no OS because I had told the Desktop Application to put v4.7 on there, and it started to, wiped the phone for me, then decided it could not finish.

This should not be that hard, so any other ideas?

As silly as it is, you were right. I went to another computer and installed the 9530 OS from the sticky at the top of the forum, and BBSAKv1.4 and ran BBSACK. It is currently installing the OS on the phone. Thanks.
