I lock the device manually, slip it into the holster.

At some stage while still in the holster it unlocks itself.

If it is in my pocket, it starts dialling out.

Weirdly it seems to dial the same person all the time, who is neither first nor last in my contacts list; and I delete him from the call history after every time we speak.

I have searched for a solution all over the net, to no avail. It is driving me to despair: I got rid of a perfectly good HTC Touch because it was pocket dialling all the time - and now it looks as if I shall have to do the same with the Blackberry.

Can anyone help?

Have you tried setting it to lock when you holster it? Select Options, Security, Password. Set Lock Handheld Upon Holstering with a checkmark.

Did you setup this contact with a Speed Dial key? This could allow pocket dialing.

Hi - I have posted a similar problem but no solution. My phone is locked and set up as you suggest however with a certain ringtone it hangs up on removal from the holster. This ringtone is a standard MP£ tone which works fine for the alarm and if out of holster - cannot understand how this is happening - when I remove the ringtone as a call alert and reuse a preloaded tone it does not occur. Any help appreciated.
