I've been experiencing problems connecting the playbook to my tv. It connected perfectly fine for about a week and all of a sudden today it flickered a few seconds and the picture is gone.

Playbook indicator on the top menu says its connected, and under the options 'hdmi' it gives me options to change the aspect ratio, display mode etc

I've tried several different hdmi ports on my tv with no luck. Sometimes it intermittently connects for few seconds but it loses signals again. And in those few seconds its on, i get these pixelated dots on my tv.

Things ive tried;

1. Tried two different hdmi cables
2. Connected playbook to the other 2 hdmi ports on tv
3. Connected my computer to the tv to test the 3 hdmi ports, and they all work without a problem
4. Restarted playbook several times
5. Powered down playbook and restarted

I've called technical support, and they've said this is the first they've heard of such problems. Theyve asked me to research into the model of my tv and try to find any indication my playbook is incompatible with the tv, but i seriously doubt it as it worked fine for a week.

Anyone here experienced the same issues?

can you try on a friends TV or maybe at a store?

tried using three other tv's with same problems and wiped/restored device. bb support has issued me an rma

on crackberry.com forum theres a thread on this. it might be a software issue? anyways i wont issue an rma until a few weeks maybe a software update will fix this issue
