Wanted to log my experience with the new 9900 Bold...

1st Defective Bold 9900 - Defective Charging, Flickering Screen
2nd Defective Bold 9900 - Bottom Charging contact defective - does not charge on BB charging Pod

1st Defective BB charging POD - Stop working on Sun (25th) after 8 days of use.

If anyone else wants to add a reply with their history we can keep a tab.

I bought 3 charging pods and one of 'em barely worked. Turns out one of the contacts in the pod was stuck down and barely making contact with my 9930 unless I pressed the BB down pretty hard. Using a paperclip I was able to free up the dodgy pod contact so it extended normally. They're spring-loaded and should have a little travel to them.
