After a long wait of almost two month my new phone arrived as brand new one but one problem...my old phone was a 9700 and this ones screen/desktop looks totally different and when I looked on google it looks like it's a 9900 one so why have they sent me this one or has the 9700 had an updated screen/desktop or what?

What do I do?

Go to Options > About and read the model number. While on the screen, read the OS version number too.

Cheers it says a Bold 9700, why does the front desktop bit look like the 9900 though?

Your old 9700 probably had OS 5 and this new 9700 might have OS 6.
