BES MAGT Error: Duplicate or Invalid Folder..
Please Login to Remove!
Hi All,
5 users of our mailboxes recently started producing the following errors in the BES Messaging Agent log:
[40717] (01/19 12:22:03.176):{0xABC} {email.address} SetFolderState - Saved Folder State. FolderID=-702, ParentFolderID=-1, FolderNameHash=988801, SyncInProgress=true, Redirected=0
[20449] (01/19 12:22:06.161):{0xABC} {email.address} LoadFolderList Duplicate or Invalid FolderID detected. Renumbered from -702 to -703
This is causing the message agent to fail and restart.
Shortly followed by the following error in the Windows event log:
'BES Server Name' agent 2: will not restart - reached the maximum of 10 restarts per 24 hours
The agent stops servicing ALL mailboxes on the associated Exchange Server & we receive complaints from users that Blackberry email is no longer working.
The above has been confirmed by removing the faulty mailboxes from BES.
This fixes the fault. Adding the mailboxes back into the system reintroduces the fault.
Please:
Is there any way to determine which Exchange folder is causing the issue?
The only indication I can see is:
1. ParentFolderID=-1 (-1 is the mailbox root?)
2. FolderHashName = 988801 (If I could determine the HASH algorithm I could work backwards from the Exchange end).
I have increased the BES MAGT Logging level from 4 to 6.
Unfortunately this has not helped to determine the offending folder name.
I have also tried using MFCMAPI to access the mailboxes concerned.
Nothing obvious discovered. So need the BES to give me a little more info.
My short term fix is to remove the offending 5 users in order to keep the BES running for everyone else.
Any ideas on how to diagnose this would be very much appreciated
We are running BES version 5.0.1.4 and Exchange 2007
Thank you!
