Default 7130e and Car Charger -- Phone Has Crashed

Please Login to Remove!

When I got the 7130e, I had trouble using the car charger I had from my 7100t. Yesterday, I finally bought a car charger at Best Buy with a label on it specifically indicating that it is compatible with the 7130e. Again, it wouldn't work, and after trying a couple of times, the phone has completely crashed. I think that maybe the battery got fried.

Any suggestions?

You absolutely must purchase the OEM car charger for the Blackberry. the car charger is the same for the 7250 as it is for the 7130. anything aftermarket is not filtered as well, or manufactured as well as the orginal. thats why they are always cheaper. dont settle for anything other that original Blackberry accessories when it comes to chargers.

I just have a cheap lighter to 110v (at 140watt)... works fine, just plug my standard 110v outlet adapter into it.

Would have gotten an actual lighter to BB; but I also charge my laptop and (on some occasions) my iPod or Pocket PC. - So this seemed cheaper and more practical.

Verizon is sending me a new 7130e. I suspect the old one had some glitch. The problem wasn't the battery, which works fine in my old 7100t.

Same issue with the 7250 with a BBY charger. Guess I'm buying the RIM equivalent?

The OEM batteries and chargers are always the best way to go - they seem to meet expectations everytime. We could certainly sell and make more money on aftermarket units but the follow-up service on them usually kills any extra margin.

Buy OEM http://store.bizshopr.com/rimrac41731.html
