Dear all, few days back I have bought a Torch 9800. However now I want to install some tracking software onto it, so that in case of any theft I can still get some opportunity to recover my BB.

Can somebody point me some efficient but free tracking software available?

BlackBerry Protect is free and provided by RIM.

Agree with BlackBerry Protect recommendation. Personally, I think the odds of recovering a lost or stolen smart phone are slim, and tracking software of any type won't better your better your odds much. I think putting your name, address, and a phone number on the owner screen and enabling the password lock is the smartest thing you can do.

But BlackBerry Protect will automatically backup your data, every day if you want. That is its great value, in my opinion.

BB Protect is good but does not back up any media. I have found it to be very accurate when locating the BB.
