Yesterday I noticed that when I ended a call by pressing on the red End Call button, a moment later the phone would sound the three tone signal that indicates I didn't hang up. I have to press it several more times before the call ends.

I have been focusing on pressing the button firmly and even several times, but without any change.

Any ideas/suggestions?

It has not been dropped or gotten wet. I keep it in a hard protective case with a screen protector.

Some protectors prevent the keys from being pressed properly. Try it with the case and screen covers off.
