Default Tom Tom Sat Nav / Best Place to Purchase

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone !

just about to purchase a 8700 here in the UK.

Never used a BB before, so gently folks, I dont know the lingo, but guess BB means Blackberry !

Anyhow, I see scancom mentioned quite a bit, anyone with any experience? Was thinking of either T-Mobile or Vodafone.

Finally, will TomTom Navigator 5 run on these units?

Regards

Ginnser

Thanks for reply

Can you confirm that I would be unable to run TonTon on the Blackbery itself, but in fact would be best to buy the TomTom 700 and link the Blackbery to it for hands free?

Regards

Mark

I have the TomTom One unit. I can't get it to talk to my BB 8700c for traffic updates though.

I have a TomTom Go 300 and I couldn't get it to access the net correctly through my Siemens SK65. I didn't really try that hard though. The 300 model doesn't allow Bluetooth handsfree operation, just allows you to use the phone to retrieve traffic data, so I can't comment on how it worked with the voice features over Bluetooth.

I'll give it a whirl on the 300 with my 8700g...
