From the Home Screen, follow this command path:
Options (wrench icon) -> Theme -> click scroll wheel -> Download Themes

This will take you to a special BlackBerry webpage where you can download the Pixelistic theme over-the-air onto your BlackBerry. I downloaded it very shortly after installing version 4.1 and it is now my standard theme. It grew on me after using it for a day or 2.

yeah i just grabed this theme its pretty nice, i think im gunna keep it

I went to Download Themes from theme option and there is no pixelistic on the list. Where can I find it?

the theme seems to be based on the older handset os, as i don't get any notifcations of messages, bb messenger messages, etc visually. it doesn't support the ntwk visual icon, as i have a '{' symbol on the top right, which is the way the gsm themes react to cdma devices when you try importing a theme on a 7250 for instance.

i love the theme, and i'd love to let plazmic know if they could revise it, but that's been a bit tough. i'd love to make this my primary theme, as it's quite original compared to the standardized themes that's available through the 4.1 theme maker.

You probably are right. I have 8700c and it may not be avail for it yet. I only see three themes; Overlord - Icon, Wave - Icon, and Wave - List.

Download .284, and add the Zen theme. Search the forum for how to do that.

i have this theme too and my .adp ring tones that used to work, no longer do! love this theme tho.. sacraficed the ringtones..

*correction. they work, when they want to and dont work more often than not..* =(

it worked yesterday but it stopped working today.

is this a known glitch?? does anyone have any suggestions?
what i've already tried..
well i updated to the new update OS then dled pixelistic theme and all the ringtones in .adp format failed to work.
i deleted them and re-downloaded them back into the phone and it didnt work. until yesterday, then it worked and today it doesnt.

got a mind of its own.

I had not sen this thread prior to posting a new thread about the pixelistic theme on the 7520, my bad. Sorry mods/admin.

I too am having to adjust to the entire non-notification thing with the new theme, which I think is beautiful. Maybe I think it's so beautiful cause I crave a new blackberry and have such limited themes and the likes for the 7520.

Either way, I don't get an envelope to display that messages have come to me, so I'm adjusting to that myself. Glad to have found this thread.

I'm sorry I didn't notice this new post earlier. My apologies.

For me, Pixelistic also acted funny about displaying the notifications at the top of the screen, but only at first. After installing it, it turns out you have to do a FULL HARDWARE REBOOT of your . Once you do that, it will work fine!

To do a hardware reboot, turn the power off (full power off option, if you have an Auto On/Off option set-up) and then remove the battery. Hold the power switch in for at least 30 seconds, then reinsert the battery and let your boot back up. Pixelistic should work better after that.

I liked the theme because it maintained the email icons the way I was used to (3 icons, one each for Messages, Compose Email and Saved Messages) as opposed to the BIS 2.0 icons that were forced on me by the other themes. Plus, it had the more modern icons, with that "3-D" look that you get on themes for the newer s. It also makes your wallpaper show up with FULL COLOR, instead of the faded, pastel look imposed on your wallpaper by the other themes.

But now that I'm on an 8700g on T-Mobile, I've just had to get used to the BIS 2.0 icons, since Pixelistic is not available for the 8000 series devices. It's only available on 7000 series s; 71xx, 72xx, and 75xx units.

But that's alright. On the 8700, you can get the new Overlord theme, which uses a similar color scheme, but implemented even better than Pixelistic was! For starters, All Day events in the Agenda View of the calendar are now actually READABLE. In Pixelistic, they used a gray on gray color scheme that was very hard to read! Overlord also makes the main (pre-installed) icons transparent when they're not selected, so you can see more of your wallpaper. Overall, it's a nice substitute for Pixelistic and I recommend it to anyone that switches to an 8700.
