My wife told me that her 8700 has locked up a couple of times on her. While I'm not exactly sure what she was doing when it locked up she has had to take tha battery out and reinsert it to use the phone again. This hasn't happened a lot but she is nervous about it hapening again.

I've got the following stuff loaded on her bb.
1. Rogers OS loaded. The cingular stock OS just sucked
2. Spell checker
3 Travel app. Advertised here
4. Sudoko
5. Blackberry instant messanger

Anybody have any idea what might be causing the lock up? Need to get this fixed for her.

Occaisonally mine will reboot due to somthing that happens when on a call or dialing. I don't worry about it.

Obviously it shouldn't be locking up... you can try, from the home screen holding down the ALT key while pressing "LGLG" which will bring up the log screen, where you can check for errors recorded.
Other than that, i'd try reloading the OS...
