Hopefully I can explain this in 50 words or less....
I am on BES 4.0 server & have my bberry device setup so that when I send a email, it shows as a "sent item" on the bberry device.
Question: When I delete the "sent item" on the bberry, it deletes the message from the "sent items folder" on the exchange server.
I do not want this to happen. How can I set this up so that when I delete the sent item on the bberry, it DOES NOT delete it from the exchg. server?

In either your desktop manager or on BES under Folder Redirection be sure that your sent items is not checked.

I want my "sent items" to appear on the bberry, but I do not want them to be deleted when I delete them from the bberry. That is my dilemma.

You have a couple of options...

1. Go to Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Delete On > Set to either Handheld or Prompt.
2. Go to Messages > View Folder > Select Sent Folder > Highlight date line, press scroll wheel and select Delete Prior. Deleting Prior will not sync the deletions back to your mail client.

There may be more options, but this is all I got at the moment.
