I have a BlackBerry 7520.

I find this hard to believe:

a. I cannot increase the Phone Volume beyond "High".

b. I cannot increase the Number of Beeps to more than "3".

Sometimes when a room has a lot of background noise the "High" volume
is simply not loud enough.

So when it is hard to hear the short number of beeps, the caller goes into voice mail
even if I want to answer the call.

Is there any way I can increase both of these settings?

Set you phone to Vibrate+Tone

Call Nextel and ask for a ringtime extention, it will extend the time it takes for a call to go to voicemail.

I have the same problem - can't hear the BB ring. I have mine set to vibe and ring (3x on high) & usually hear it buzz (especially if it's on a hard surface) before it rings. I have also set the ring tone to a musical one. It's not any louder, but it makes noise for a longer time than the little beeps, so I'm more likely to hear it.

you can search on the forums for a three second ring 101 96 and its the loudest ring tone i can find...
