Default 8700 Software Download Advice

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I've had an 8700 for about a week now and am ready to try downloading some software from handango. Can anyone offer some advice. Should I download directly to the device or to my pc and the use the desktop manager to install it on the device? I'd appreciate any other tips available. Thanks in advance,
G

I do not believe that you can put the software that was on your handago on your BB.

uhhhh, I think G was refering to getting software from Handango.

Personally, I like to download the software and install from Desktop Manager. That way I have a copy I can store for safe keeping, and also to reinstall later if needed. But that is just me.

Not just you Doug I do as well and I think Stinsonddog does as well. It is the best way in my opinion, and when I cant I download OTA and use the BBManager posted here and convert it myself and then save it too. This way if ever I have to reinstall not only do I not have to worry about remembering where it came from but I do not have to worry about whether an application is pulled or is no longer available, my library keeps growing, even if they are apps I dont currently use, if its available out there and I find it I save it.

I would like to use BBManager to back up some BB apps, but can't find it on the forum even though some threads reference its availability. Google was no help either. Can you point me to it?
Thanks.
