I just bought a Motorola HS700 about a week ago. Quality on both ends are great!. Pricey though, it was apparently the latest motorola out there. But I'm impressed. Startup time to pair up with my 7100v is damn fast also, like 1sec.

I got the plantronics Explorer 320 after trying the Voyager 510 and I love the 320. The 510 had a better range/reception, but it felt like I had a bannana on my ear! The 320 works great with direct line of sight to my phone. I use my phone in the basement and put the phone up to get a better signal and it is on average 12 ft from me and I get a great reception until something comes in the way. It is light enough that after a few days I got completely used to it. I like the feel of the flamingo better but at twice the price it wasn't worth it. Not to mention it doesn't work well with Blackberries, from what I've heard.

I have the Motorola HS850. Love it, works great, starts up quickly and the reception is very decent. Loudness and clarity are very good as well.

Which Bluetooth Headsets use a mini USB connector for charging? I have a plantronics (M2500?) that works reasonably well but I'm thinking of getting a new headset so I can ditch yet another wall-wart I have to carry when traveling.

Just picked up a Jabra BT500 today after using a BT200 for a couple of years. The 500 came with a miniUSB charging cable as well as a wall wart.

I am curious if anyone has compared the 640 and the Voyager 510. Plantronics web site shows the 510 as the only noise cancelling BT headset they offer. I need something with good volume and also strong noise cancellation...

I have the 640 and love it. I believe Plantronics just updated it to the 645 and the 645 has noise cancelling features.

I just checkedout the 645 at Headsets.com and it looks nice. How is the fit around the ear? I've found on their wired headsets that if the ear gel fits then it remains secure but if the ear bud is too large then it simply flops around.

Availability is said to be mid-April.

I use the largest one and I get a fairly tight fit. Secure enough that I don't need to use the extra ear hoop that they include

I have the Motorola H605 that works great with my 8700C and then yesterday I rec'd a 7105T from work and I had to upgrade the OS to 4.1 to get the H605 to work with it. But not that I did that it works great with both phones. Volume is excellent but I have rec'd 1-2 complaints about wind noise when walking thru a parking lot, nothing major. Battery life is excellent too.

7130e and JX10, great combo! also have the BT250, but was getting a lot more static and it's big. the JX10 is small and great sound. Only complaint is that it can be too sensitive and pick up more background noise than I would like. But that's minor.

I also have the H605, using it with my 7100i and have not complaints at all.

Not on your list, but I have the Plantronics V510 - which I picked up based on the http://www.barjohn.com/ review. Works perfect with my 8700. In fact, worked so well with my wife's Razr ( including voice dial activation ) that we picked up one for her. Highly recommend.

Also - use it flawlessly to connect to my IBM Thinkpad T42 as a headset for Skype.

Ditto

Plenty of Volume. Extremely clear, extremely comfortable, easy to pair. I too bought it based on barjohn's review and I am so glad. Thanks barjohn.

I had that, great earpiece. Then over the course of two days, it decided to work really badly, and then it stopped working at all.

I have a H500 now. It's cool, but I miss my boom mike and uber-cool soft glowing blue light.

I've got a Motorola H500 for my 7290. I have to admit that I got it for the color (a pretty baby pink!). I was using an H500 with the Razr and was really happy with it, so we'll see how it works with the BB. Should be receiving it any day now. Got it through a dealer on eBay for $30.

I have a Plantronics M2500 which I hate that supposedly was compatible with my 7100t but kept dropping calls, losing it's BT pairing and was a PAIN to pair in the first place. I want to replace this with a Motorola H500. Is this a good replacement?

Hotbox, I am in the same situation u are in with glasses. The Plantronics headset I have worked well with my glasses but technical issues were why I threw it out the window.
