Ok, I have a very small desktop app that I want to see if anyone can convert it for use on a blackberry. I personally use the 7105T.

Background:

I am licensed to carry a handgun in many states. My single permit (Texas) allows me to carry in various other states, which I think currently totals to 26. There are several state permits that allow a person to carry in several other states.

Bottom line is that this becomes a database that we need to be able to change. What it does is, you have a dropdown menu and select what state you hold a permit in. It will then show you what states your carry permit is valid in. As laws change, this will need to be able to be updated when states either add or take away reciprocity.

I have a small app that I want to see if it can be converted for Blackberry use.

Any ideas?

Sounds like an idea. At present we are totally swapped with work... Maybe there's another developer who can help.. thanks for the idea though!

Why not just post the updated list on a Web site? It can be checked without the need of an app that way.

Actually, that info is already on a website, its just not as fast as we want and the particular site is bot bb friendly. I know there is a work around for that part of it.

It would be possible to use a Java app but I don't know of any developer willing to create it for such a small project.

If you're interested in using it and it's not quite what you wanted, let me know what changes you want and, if I have time and the skill to make them, I will. I would definately suggest a name change, if you can come up with a better one. And maybe a different icon, too.
