Welcome to the forums!
I am curious. Is Edge available in Germany?

Overnight shipping was an additional $12.99. Sweet deal!
Yep, same as mine!!

Did you get the BB Enterprise or the regular unlimited? I just got the regular unlimited and it was only $19.99 (even though website shows $29.99).

Although....one thing I just realized...he didn't ask me what contract I wanted 1-year or 2-year. So I don't know what I got. I just tried to call, and they said they have no way of looking it up (that's a bit of a crappy orering system if they can't see what was ordered).

Also, the salesperson that I spoke to just outright told me it was a 12 month contract. At this prices I expected it to be a 24 month contract. I made her repeat the contract term, 12 months, to me to make sure I heard it right.

My guess is that you are also on a 12 month contract.

By the way, if you got an order number from them on the phone you can track your new toy here:
https: //securecheckout.t-mobile.com/b2c_tmoc/tmoc/orderstatus.do (I'm a new user and can't post URLs, so you'll have to copy an paste and take out the spaces.)

I checked that page minutes after getting off the phone with them and my order was already in there.

Woohoo! Just ordered mine with the promo code 3401GETMOR. Thanks guys! Mine came out to be $325.11 before the $50 rebate and my plan was the BIS Data plan for $29.99 under a 12 months contract. The cust rep that took my call is extremely friendly. Can't until next monday...

OK, so this better than the ushopwireless/venicom deal? U/V is 99 bucks for the phone, $20 a month bb plan, $40 a month 600 mins voice. Am I missing something?

I think the U/V deal is still better if you get the BIS plan. If you get BES the data plan seems to be discounted; otherwise you'd save money b/c the unit would only cost you the $99 after rebates, instead of $249-300ish.

Yes, that is what I thought. This is personal phone, so no BES for me. But I think i'm paying $150 bucks less than signing up directly with TMO

I believe the deal from uswirelesshop(sp?) is much better if one decides to get both voice + data on the 8700, but I don't think the promo from TMo can be beat if all one needs is the data plan. Which was what I signed up for.

The next 4 days will be one of the longest period I will experience.

YOU GUYS ROCK! Just got mine ordered using this process for Friday delivery.

$49.95 - 1000 Unlimited minutes, Unlimited Nights & Weekends
$19.95 - Blackberry Unlimited Data

was $299 and $50 Mail-in Rebate

I couldn't be happier - I hope TMO coverage works for me ... because going to Cingular and getting raped on the monthly charges would be a major drag.

Thanks again, BB community.

I just went to my favorite TMobile store today and they confirmed that they have the 8700g in stock and in the back. Of course they couldn't sell it to me today as a retail consumer, but they have my name and number and I'll be back at 10am Monday morning to pick up my new 'Berry! And my number stays the same! I can't wait!!!

No - I ordered today from corp0rate rep for $199 (no rebates) on my exisiting line (no new contract) all I had to do was add a $19 data plan. Free over night shipping too.

I just signed up with tmobile today because I wanted to wait for the sidekick 3 but this blackberry looks wayyyyy better!!! I just have one question, if I get just the data-only plan, does it come with unlimited texting like the sidekick or can I add it extra?

Oh, and by the way, this is a great site. I'm glad I found it.

Default Blackberry 8700g

I just received the T-Mobile Blackberry 8700g from ushopwireless.com. They were doing a pre-launch and they received inventory yesterday. I was using the Blackberry 7730 before which was a nice unit but nothing compared to th 8700g. This unit has many new features & the coolest part is the high speed internet. Load time is super fast. You can pull up any website in seconds and the screen is perfect. I could go on and on. I just wanted to let you know yes this is available online at ushopwireless.com.

I'm really confused here...people have quoted from 20-45 a month for t-mo BB dataplan. I thought it was 19.99 and they were NOT going up on the data plan? With that corporate code Can i get a family plan or do they not offer that because its corporate and what is the actual BIS charge?

Also, noone as of yet has answered a previous asked question if the 8700G can be used as a laptop modem or not??

The $20-45 you're seeing is the data plan price without a voice plan, for those who solely want to use their BB for data and not as a phone.

The $19.99 price is for BIS users who want voice & data bundled together.

As far as tethering goes, there are plenty of threads on that, and as the mods will suggest--search . But yes, it can be used as a modem for Windows users - not Mac users.
