i see the thread with all the themes in the blackberry.alx. can i just shove that into my loader folder and then hook up my berry will it then add all the themes or do i have to like do a reinstallaion

Just grab the ALX file for the 8700 software (it's the Orange UK, but no worries) and put in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8700-blah-blah-blah directory (rename the one in there first). Open up Desktop Manager and it should update the Core Applications.
