I now carry a BB and a phone, only because I've got to keep my Verizon contract and not a pay fee, well not to metion i talk to a lot of people on Verizon so i have the lowest plan there is (with unlimited nights weekends and mobile to mobile) then tmo for my bb. And well I pay the same price for both as I did for my 1 VZW bB

I always have my 8700c and my Razr on me. Both in my pockets. One for business and one for personal. Family plan...shares minutes + 2 different numbers. if a phone had 2 lines, i'd be on it in a heartbeat!

I'll probably hold out for a while and see what RIM pulls out of their hat next. The 7780 still works just fine so there's no rush.

Then there's the Dell Axim X51v that I carry around too.
As it turns out one of my coworkers is getting a 8700c to replace his 7100g, so when that's done I'll be picking up his 7100g and using it to replace the V180. Good deal as then I can see how much I like SureType before Cingular gets the 7130. While I have the voice and data plans combined I'll probably switch back and for between a few different BB's just to tinker with them.

Used to carry 7290 & RAZR, but when I saw how good the phone was on the 8700, I switched everything to it. I still keep the RAZR around for those nights/weekends when I don't need email and want to travel light.

The only problem would be when I make a call from it the new number would show on everybodies caller ID and confuse the heck out of them.
Have I got a deal for you..lol I have a black cingular razr that I just replaced with 8700c.

Carried two for a while, then went back to one (no BB :().

Now I'm back to two. RIM 8700 and Nokia 8801.

I use the voice dialing feature on the Nokia a lot, which BBerries don't have yet. Also, in Canada, we don't have number portability yet.

I was doing this for awhile with my old 7290 and a (now defunct) Motorolla phone but hopefully with the 8700 I can just use one. It was kind of a nuisance so I am looking forward to the convenience.

Carry two devices. I work for Cingular (Manager of the Network Operations Center), so I have to both my BB 8700c and Samsung SGH-D357 PTT phone on me at all times (that and I get free service so why not). We have 5 managers here at the NOC and we all carry BB and PTT. We are on conference calls almost all day long and respond to over 100 emails a day (damn my thumbs hurt).

PTT is annoying when in a public place. Take it from a New Yorker...I just want to snatch every Nextel phone and step on it. BREEEEEP. lol.

I've got two 8700's - a "c" and just got a "g" today. Sounds crazy I know, but I've been changing up my TMobile phone so many times looking for just the right one - it was the 8700!. When I need to wear a suit, I swap out the 8700c's sim card into a Motorola SLVR. Ain't life complicated?

I don't have a second voice-only device. But I do have two BlackBerries. One for work and one for personal.

Question for you guys who swap out your SIM from your 8700 to another phone. What happens to emails that get sent to you while the SIM is in your 'regular' phone? Do they somehow reach the phone? And when you switch the SIM back to the 8700 do they then appear there if they were sent prior to putting the SIM back?
