Eg, I'll tell it to login to my POP3 server using the POP3 server and login details. I will also tell it my name and my email address. I presume it can't tell if that email address is 'right' for the POP3 server I gave it (or not), so I can set it to any email address I like?

Probably so, I was speaking to changing it on the fly on the BB.
