Default New to BB

Please Login to Remove!

Have a 7520 and can't get the email to cross over from Outlook 2003 to the device - the DM says everything is cool, but no messages. All the synchro choices are made, just does not work or is hiding all the emails where I have not looked.

I read that is you use an BB with a SIM card out of a Nextel phone, Nextel will charge you for a data account? What sort of BS is that? And why, if you just use it as a phone and walkie talkie? These things are available online everywhere.

I know there is alot to find out about this BB, I have read the manuals I have downloaded, just not getting the answers to the questions I have.

I curretly run it as a simple PDA, no SIM card in it, my intention is as a back-up phone in case mine crash and burns.

Any help is welcome.

Mike

Nextel will add the BB plan (the five-meg one) to your plan if you use a BlackBerry on your account per its agreement with RIM.

As mentioned, you need a Blackberry Data Plan on your account to use e-mail and/or web functions. Blackberry devices do not sync e-mail via desktop manager. They don't sync e-mail at all.

You *need* a Blackberry Data Plan to use the Blackberry. Nextel is doing you a favor by adding it on the fly. If you just want to use the device for phone & two-way... then the Blackberry is not the right choice for you.

Why wouldnt you want to avail yourself of all that is Blackberry? Email, web, search, weather push, stocks, chat, gps and sat directions to anywhere in the world from anywhere in the world. I can look at my house from space! It showed me a discolored area of my lawn that would have cost me a lot if not caught now! I cannot fathom why any sentient being would not want the fastest, most accurate information available on a sexy BB! :D
