Default What is Connection Service option Is push server?

Please Login to Remove!

On BES 4.1. Under Connection Service, it says "Is Push server: False", and there are options in global settings where you can set the maximum stored push messages and maximum push message age.

I don't quite understand the MDS Connection Service push service. what exactly does it do? and do I need it enabled for blackberry's to function correctly?

THanks

Chapter 10 of the system Administrators guide should help.

So you don't need this unless you are using another application to push information to a blackberry through mds.
