Default Unidentified Indicator

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday an indicator showed up on the top of my Cingular 8700. I checked the getting started guide and it's not listed.

The indicator is the the number 1 with a circle to right with an arrowing inside of the circle pointing downward.

Anyone know what it means?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

It could be a browser push or a browser notification.

I believe the indicator is for a conversation you have in your chat program - like Blackberry Messenger. You have a new message waiting in your conversation with someone.

Sounds like the Browser Push content icon. Go to Browser, Options, Cache Operations and clear that Pushed Content cache. See if it goes away.

yeah someone else had this a little while back, and it was the weather browser push from Blackberry, and in some cases, it is a saved web page in your message list. Here are a couple threads

I cleared all the information from the cache.

I also checked to make sure I have no saved messages.

No luck :(

Are you on BIS or BES? Sounds like the mail connector icon.

Because it sounds so much like Pushed Content, I will suggest one last thing. Go to your Browser bookmarks page. There will be a entire subfolder especially for pushed content bookmarks. Delete the bookmark(s) in there. Reboot. Pray...

Solved!

I don't know how it happened, but the Weather Push got turned on. The way to turn it off was to go to BlackBerry Help! | Exrtas | Push and then turn off weather push...

Weird. Thanks everybody for the help.
