I've been through alot of topics, and i have yet to come across one for people who make their own physical non-accessory modifications to their BlackBerries.

If you have a BB that you have taken the time to painstakingly paint, take apart, or put back together to make it match your own personal style please use this thread to post a picture or a how-to of what you did.

I'm sure I am not the only person interested in going to extremes with customizing / personalizing.

Also, if this is a subject that already has a thread, I apologize and will gladly try to remove it.

I want to do it... I have an older BB 6750 that I can test on. Only thing is.. If its painted, will the holster not scratch/remove the new paint?

Leather holster and lots of clear coat.

Does the clear coat make it look cheap and tacky?

not really, at most the clear coat might make it look a bit glossy.

oh, by the way, i'm getting a new 8700 and i'm gonna be using my 7290 to 'experiment' with. when i say experiment, what i mean is, try to mod it, probably screw it up, turn it in to insurance lol
