Probably just me, but from what I have read in this thread the upgrade to 2.0 doesn't seem directly connected with the price reduction. I don't think you will get it unless you ask for it.

Since the rate change I can only use the Cingular browser... Not the Blackberry one.. Any reason or is it just me?

I use T-mobile BIS 2.0, I don't think that makes a difference but my e-mails show up in both their respective inbox and the messages inbox.

I assume you still run into the TCP, 3rd party app problem with respect to getting charged by the KB using cingular? If so, this is still useless to me...

Seems like many of the data reps at Cingular are unaware of this plan...

Am I to understand that with BIS 2.0 we have an unlimited mailbox size but just cant access that from the web anymore, and also when reading the description i am also led to believe that BIS will now reconcile e-mails in real time with the server WITHOUT me having to do a wireless reconcile????

Yup. Just upgraded to it. I love the new interface. I never understood why they had an actual mail app on the client.

I agree, it continues to blow my mind that we are all SO much more informed tha the cingular CS reps. I have been on hold for at least 30 min, she CAN'T find the plan I am speaking of. So I navigate her to cingulars rate plan page and ahe is still zero help, unbelievable.....

Hmmmm this is very interesting.
Our setup is ExchangeMyMail and BIS at the same time... Sounds like this is going to disrupt the BES portion of the unit.
Who else is using it like this and will risk the change?

I re-registered via host routing and that took care of that

Just upgraded to BIS 2.0
Cool, just upgraded. I now have 2 additional messages icons on my BB for the 2 email accounts I have setup. This really helps in separating my personal email from my work email.
Outside of the help link on the BIS site, is there any other guides available on the additional functionality of BIS 2.0?

Could you tell me how fast you are receiving your emails after you send them?

Thanks!

From what I have heard from my RAE, Cingular will be dropping their prices around 15$ for the unlimited packages, putting them more in line with their PDA connect unlimited packages. The price drop will happen this Sunday (expected) As far as the rollout date, haven't heard an exact date, but rumors are early July, as every one has stated. BIS 2.0

Instantly- I have my mail accounts forward a copy to my BB address so i don't have my BB mail address floating around for spammers to use.

Woah Woah Gecko, You're telling me the BBUNLM users who use BES will ALSO see a price drop? And if they drop the 15 dollars you mention, then that is the same price as the BIS only?
