Cant see my tasks

I tried doing a search and could not find any information regarding this issue. When I enter a task in to my BB 7100T they do not show up unless I search for them ... ie, lets say I have a task that says, "LADWP Bill" I cant see this under my tasks unless I search for say "LA" ... Any ideas?
Also .. does AIM only limit 30 names when you log in ? Is there a way to change this?
