Default T-Mobile Ports do not seem to be working today

Please Login to Remove!

It seems to me that the ports are closed. I can not get the weather in BBToday and MicroSky is not connecting to get its data. Both worked yesterday. One strange thing was sometime last night TMO sent me a activation message. It said "Welcome to Blackberry and T-Mobile!". I am not sure if they pushed some service books that disabled or messed it up.

I have been looking through the posts today to see if anyone else has been having this problems and I do not see any.

Is there anyone else either having the problem or get the message? I am TMO in NYC with 7230.

I put in my user id and password from BWC and rebooted (I already had the APN in TCP settings) After I reboot the usernamd and password are gone. Is that correct? Is the BWC usernamd and password what I should put in there? I did not need these items when ports were open.

Same here.....no I did not need any password or login for the APN yesterday and was getting the content....I occasionally do get "max connections open" error when I have VeriChat logged in, Running BB Today, etc....but other than that the content was working.....

Who knows what TMO is doing - they have a propensity to screw things up as of late....

I am glad to hea I am not the only one. Where are you located? Did you also get the activation email?

Also does anyone else know if there is actual proof that TMO opened the ports. I can then call support and complain.

I am in Des Moines, IA

No activation email though

I am going to try and resend the service books from the BWC to see if that helps....

And Yes there is actual proof and their customer service people now are aware the ports are open (or are supposed to be open)....

I am thinking this may be TMO's typical terrible network provisioning change management which they always seems to botch....

BUT the ports better come back....

I tried to send the Internet service book and it never arrives. I waited 15 minutes. I did not send the email since I do not have a problem or want one ....

Ok its working now. I got BBToday to give me the weather and MicroSky showed me the stars.

I am not sure if it was a networking thing or me sending the service books.

I would like clarification if we need the user id and password in the TCP setting. They do not seem to stick with a reboot.

I'm not affiliatated with TMO other than as a customer. I have not entered any userid nor password in the TCP setting and I'm not having a problem since they opened the ports. I'm in San Jose, CA.

I have been having intermittent problems for the last couple of days (which is as long as I have had my blackberry). Error messages like "Max connections opened" pop up in BBToday, and my Verichat is allowing only one connection to any given IM service.

I guess I've been lucky because it has stayed up. And my BBToday weather just started working again with the icons. I called TMObile and they are not aware of any outtages. Big Surprise.
