My 7100g displays a Network Message Notification every time the voice mail indicator changes. Which creates a problem since the device is render useless until I hit the OK box on the Notification. What do I need to do to stop seeing the Notification... after all, I have the voice mail icon that tells me the same information.

Noticed that to. I will put a call into VM because I am typing and them that screen comes up. Can't believe there isn't a simple on/off for it.

Interestingly enough, a VP came to me and said he used to get this pop-up on his 7100g and now he does not. But he would like to! I cannot find where to set this option on the handheld. Soooo, either Cingular made a change to their voice mail notification method, or he accidently turned it off? I, personally, was not given a blackberry with a voice plan, so I cannot help with what it used to do versus what it does now.

Anyone heard anything on this?

I think you are on the right track... but I do not have a OPTIONS|SMS|Cell difusion.

I have v4.0.2.49 (platform 1.8.0.142) installed

On Cingular it showed me the number of voice messages I had waiting right next to the vm icon. I've switched phones and service to t-mobile and it only shows the icon. I never know how many vm messages are waiting. any ideas on how to turn it on?
