Default Remove PUSH service item from home page?

Please Login to Remove!

mobile.blackberry.com, as was mentioned here a while ago, has some neat push services, one of which is delivery of weather reports either in email or to your home page. I've signed up for the former and find it quite nice. Not knowing what the latter did, I decided to have weather for another area delivered to my home page. Well, that turns out to be on the Applications screen -- what looks like a URL is planted there and won't go away.

Anyone have any idea how to delete it? I've switched the subscription to email and it's now being delivered to my Inbox but there's still an icon on my Applications screen. I can't delete it -- it doesn't seem to show up when I run "javaloader -usb dir".

I changed the format from home page to email. Thought that would take care of it but maybe not. Heh ... looks like we've found a bug in their system ;)

OK, I finally managed to confim Inphektion's suggestion -- unsubscribing (deleting) the subscription deleted it from the Application screen. Seems odd that changing the subscription from Home page to Email wouldn't do the same thing but that's the way it is, I guess.

how long did you have to wait for it to be deleted from the application screen. i just deleted mine and it still there.

Nevermind, I waited a while and it is gone! I am just too impatient :P hehe

Go to your Browser's Options screen, open Cashe Operations. Clear Pushed Cashe. That dumps the weather icon from your apps screen.

HIH,
Steve
