Question Application to forward my AOL to my blackberry address?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying to find a way to forward my AOL email (my main account) to my new [email address] account because emails come through much faster that way than going through AOL.

I went to the AOL help section and it said they don't currently support automatic forwarding

Does anybody know an application that does this? I found one but it was about $50. I'd love to find something much cheaper (or, better yet, FREE).

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mail Forward for Windows

Never tried it and don't know if it will be faster than polling from the BIS

Yes, I am WELL aware of that.

That said, I've had the same email address for 12 years. It's on my business cards and there are other reasons why it's not convenient for me to change.

Tried Mail Forward and the fastest polling it has is 10 minutes, which is an improvement (but not much).

Had multiple problems with their set up to the point where I ended up uninstalling.

Ah, well.

I think that the question was for help for the person getting there AOL mail faster; not a list of euphemisms for AOL

Yeah, the 10-15-whatever minutesthat it takes to get the AOL mail is a pain in the butt. I have been using AOL for, I don't know, for a long long time. Like sense when AOL didn't even really go out of its own little box. A long long time.

A lot of us are just stuck on the AOL email address for using it for so long.

BUT, I assume that AOL will figure it out eventually and make forwarding available. (probably the same day Cingular updates it BB OS)

Airmark - I think YOU get a sense of why it's not easy to switch. I probably am still paying off AOL bills from the days when it was $3.95/hr (or something like that).

Please let me know if you ever find a good solution.

i had an AOL address for many years too, and said i had it for so long i couldnt switch..........MAKE A NEW ADDRESS AND FOR THE NEXT FEW MONTHS PUT A NOTICE ON YOUR EMAILS THAT YOU HAVE A NEW ADDRESS also set up an autoresponder to let ppl know.......you can change, you just dont want to.

I already said I could, but I didn't want to. No need to yell.
