Default 7130e ringer volume

Please Login to Remove!

is anyone else noticing that the 7130e is really quiet? i have all the volumes on high, i have my profile set to loud, and i have an mp3 ringer...yet sometimes, i seem to miss the calls (especially when i'm in my car listening to music and i dont have my headset on). i mean, when i have it in my pocket, i have the vibe+ring set so i usually feel it...but in other situations, i've experienced it being very quiet..

also, when i'm walking and my bb is in my pocket, i can hardly/rarely feel the vibrate function, and the ringer is also again, very quiet..

..anyone ideas? is anyone else experiencing this?

I have certainly found the BB vibrate mode to be weaker than mobile phones I have had that's for sure. I use the traditional ringing bell notifier for incoming calls and find it's plenty loud enough. In fact, when I have it out of the holster on my desk, you can hear the ringing through a far bit of the office - so much so I often get "Hey, somebody answer JWW's phone will ya?"

Please tell me it isn't so. I just got a 7250 and I can't hear the thing ringing when it's hooked on my belt. I was going to change it for a 7130e to try and get a louder ring.

Can anyone tell me how the 7130e ringer volume compares to the 7250??

Thanks in advance for any assistance?

I agree with JWW, use the traditional ringing bell. Not only is it unique in today's world of ring tones, it is the loudest one I have tested.

I feel the 7130 is louder than the 7250. I have used them both.

The ringer on the 7130 is louder, but the vibrate is weaker.

people get mad at me because my 7130c is so loud. Maybe you have a defective speaker.

I have used both and find the 7130e to be louder than my 7250 was. I don't have a problem with the vibrate either (which is what i use most of the time)

The BB Vibrate mode is definitely weak. Hope they make a fix for this soon

Same here. Make sure you have the speaker facing out when the 7130 is in the holster.

WebMessenger Alert is a 3rd party app that can be used to set up special ringtones for contacts. I don't know how it makes them louder but it does

Default 7130e ringer volume

I was wondering what was being discusssed here on the ringer volume for the 7130e. I have changed it to several different settings and it seems I am always missing calls. Is the only particular ringer that is very LOUD??

Also do you have to set something to get you meeting notices to warn you??

Thanks in advance for your help.

i've been wondering about the ringer volume every since i got my berry. however, i've learned to deal with it. i have lots of mp3 ringers that are typically not TOO loud, but are good enough to hear. what i found is best, is that now that i have my krusell case, i lock my keys and put the berry in my pocket screen facing my pocket, so the speaker is facing outwards -- this allows me to hear the ringer most of the time.

as for setting something for meetings, i'm not too sure on that one.

I have a 7130e and the ringers are loud and the vibrate is fine. I have a Krusell case and also put the BB in my pocket. I always feel 2 vibrates and then it starts ringing. I have heard that many mp3 downloaded ringers are too quiet. But INHO the factory ones are all loud.

When I drive, I can't really hear anything as I have a great stereo system.

But, I put my phone between my legs (yes, between my legs), and I usually never miss the vibrations even when I couldn't hear someone sitting next to me yelling at me.

So, that always works.

I don't think I'd be at ease with all that radiation between my legs.
