Hi folks,

I am unable to remove the original BES Express v4.1 license key in License Management. The Remove License Key is grayed out. On other servers (at other clients) it's not grayed out. Anyone know what is causing it to be grayed out? I thought it was because users were assigned to the box and a key wont remove unless there is enough licenses to support the existing users on the box... But since I checked it out at my other clients I've learned that's not he case.

Are you trying to remove the only liscence key on the BES ?
Add another CAL and remove the orignal,should work.

Tried .. You cant mix the two licenses together. The trial license and the one-user license cannot be on the same box at the same time.

Any other ideas?

Ok then... do this..

Backup the database first and then run this:

osql -E or u (depending on Windows or SQL auth)
1>use besmgmt

2>go

1>delete from licensekeys

2>go

1>quit

If using SQL ,use the SQL analyzer to remove that row from the table.. or jsut type the SQL command.
Sould work..backup the database before trying this..
